Bienvenido a La Familia (Welcome to the Family)!
Join the Center for Latino Arts and Culture for its main outreach program in the fall, celebrating Latine culture and ushering in Latino Heritage Month! The program targets all first year and returning students and engages over 35 Latinx and multicultural student organizations, dozens of student leaders and hundreds of participating students.
This year, we will present the lively group Rebolu, a Colombian music ensemble based in New York City featuring Ronald Polo (lead vocal/gaita), Morris Cañate (tambor alegre and congas, percussion), and Johanna Castañeda (backup vocals and minor percussion).
The program will also feature our RU alumn (and aspiring medical doctor in the house!) DJ Mike Phresh, along with delicious grilled foods and savory dishes.
